Clinical Psychologist | Health Advocate | Systems Thinker
Coming from a family of healthcare professionals, my path toward psychology felt less like a decision and more like a calling. My academic journey—from Health Psychology to my Masters in Clinical Psychology at Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University—has been fueled by an intrigue for the intricate connection between body and mind.
Over the years, I have worked across diverse settings, including NGOs, hospitals, and the private sector. These experiences have reinforced my belief that navigating illness is both a medical and a psychological journey; with the right support, healing can move beyond survival to become truly transformational. My therapeutic approach is eclectic and adaptive, allowing me to bring presence and strategy to medical patients, families, and couples alike, meeting them exactly where they are in their unique circumstances.
In 2024, I completed a course in Employee Assistance Programmes through the University of Pretoria, which sparked a new passion for systemic health. I am now dedicated to partnering with corporate organizations to create psychologically healthy environments that support both individuals and entire teams. In every role—whether as a clinician, consultant, or collaborator—I carry the fundamental belief that wellbeing is always possible, especially when we don’t have to pursue it alone.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working across diverse spaces: from NGOs providing emotional support to communities, to hospitals and the private sector where the impact of a diagnosis meets the need for hope and resilience. I believe that navigating illness is both a medical journey and a psychological one, and with adequate support and education, healing moves beyond survival and becomes transformational.
My therapeutic approach is eclectic and adaptive, drawing from multiple schools of thought to meet each individual, couple, or family exactly where they are. Whether I’m working with medical patients, guiding families through their dynamics, or helping couples rediscover connection — I bring presence, empathy, and strategy into every session.
In 2024, I completed a basic course in Employee Assistance Programmes through the University of Pretoria — and it sparked something new. I’ve become passionate about partnering with corporate organizations to create psychologically healthy systems, offering interventions that not only support individuals but enhance the wellbeing of entire teams.
